Pakistan beat West Indies by 120 runs to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series, at the Multan Cricket Ground. Their in-form batters, Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam, added 120 for the second wicket before some lower-order acceleration helped Pakistan amass 275/8. In response, West Indies folded against Mohammad Nawaz (4-19), while Mohammad Wasim (3-34) and Shadab Khan (2-40) helped wrap up the tail.

Anderson Phillip struck early for the West Indies when Fakhar Zaman mistimed a pull against him, but thereafter Imam (72 in 72 balls) and Babar (77 in 93) took charge, dominating the West Indies attack. West Indies eventually got both. With both Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Haris, and Nawaz all falling cheaply, they were soon reduced to 207/6.

But contributions came thereafter, from Shadab Khan (22 in 23 balls), Khushdil Shah (22 in 31), Wasim (17* in 13), and Shaheen Shah Afridi (15* in six), and Pakistan finished on a reasonable score. For the West Indies, Akeal Hosein claimed 3-52 and Alzarri Joseph 2-33.

Afridi then got Shai Hope in the first over, caught at cover, but Kyle Mayers (33 in 25 balls) and Shamarh Brooks (42 in 56) added 67 in 54 balls to keep England in the hunt. However, once Mayers fell to Wasim, Nawaz took out both Brandon King and Brooks, and later, in the space of three balls, Rovman Powell and Nicholas Pooran. West Indies, 117/6 at this point, never recovered.

Brief scores

Pakistan 275/8 in 50 overs (Babar Azam 77; Akeal Hossain 3-52) beat West Indies 155 in 32.2 overs (Shamarh Brooks 42; Mohammad Nawaz 4-19) by 120 runs. Player of the Match: Mohammad Nawaz.
