Ajax forward Mohammed Kudus has reportedly caught the attention of Arsenal and Manchester United as the two Premier League clubs plan their summer transfer moves. Kudus, 22, is regarded as one of the most exciting young attackers in European football and is said to be dreaming of a move to the Premier League at the end of the season.
According to Fabrizio Romano on Caught Offside, there are no concrete talks with either club yet, but things could get moving in the summer. "It looks like an open situation for Mohammed Kudus, things could happen with him this summer," Romano said. "I’m not aware of anything concrete at this stage with Man United or Arsenal, but he always had the dream to play in Premier League, so the situation will be one to watch in the summer."
Arsenal and Manchester United both need to add attacking quality to their respective squads. The Gunners require a player who can operate across the front three and add creativity and goals, whilst United need a quality forward to lead the line for next season. Kudus' record of 18 goals and five assists across all competitions for club and country makes him an attractive target for both teams.
Kudus has worked with current Ajax manager Erik ten Hag during their time together at the Dutch club and could be tempted to reunite with the Dutchman at Old Trafford. Meanwhile, Arsenal will be competing in the Champions League next season and will need to strengthen their squad with more depth in order to compete on multiple fronts.
Kudus has a contract with Ajax until the summer of 2025, which means that any team wanting to sign him will have to pay a premium for his services. However, the opportunity to test himself at a higher level in the Premier League may prove too tempting for the young Ghanaian forward.
