The star performers from Australia's Test series win over South Africa have been richly rewarded in the latest ICC Men's Test Player Rankings, which were released on Wednesday, while India stalwarts Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were also big gainers in the ODI section.
Following his stunning century in the third and final Test against South Africa in Sydney, Usman Khawaja moved up to eighth in the Men's Test batters' rankings.
Khawaja was unbeaten on 195 but fell short of his double century as skipper Pat Cummins declared to force a result in a rain-shortened match. Khawaja's exploits saw him climb four spots and enter the top ten.
Performers from the drawn Test between Pakistan and New Zealand also made significant gains, including Tom Latham, Devon Conway, and Saud Shakeel.
Latham scored 71 and 62 in the second Test in Karachi, moving him up to 19th. Conway's century in the first innings propelled him up three spots to number 21. Shakeel, who scored his first Test century, has risen twenty places to 30.
Marnus Labuschagne maintains his dominance at the top of the batters rankings.
Josh Hazlewood, who made a comeback in the Sydney Test, is the biggest mover in the bowling charts. He took five wickets in the match, moving him up six places to No. 10. Cummins is still the best Test bowler in the world.
Meanwhile, Virat and Rohit have risen to the top of the ODI batting rankings. Kohli has risen two places to sixth after a stunning century in India's first ODI victory over Sri Lanka in Guwahati.
Rohit, on the other hand, shot an aggressive 83 and moved up to eighth place. Despite his team's defeat, Sri Lankan skipper Dasun Shanaka scored a fighting century and has risen 20 places to number 61.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Siraj has moved up four spots in the bowling rankings after taking two wickets in the first ODI.
Suryakumar Yadav maintains his top spot in the T20I batting rankings, thanks to his brilliant century in the third T20I against Sri Lanka. Shakib Al Hasan remains the top-ranked all-rounder in the shortest format, while Rashid Khan replaces Wanindu Hasaranga as the top-ranked bowler following his struggles in the series against Pakistan.
