Rain played spoilsport at the Carrara Oval in Queensland again, bringing an early end to the Day 2’s play in the one-off Pink Ball Test between India Women and Australia Women.

India were comfortably placed at 276/5 when the umpires called off the day after the heavy rain stopped play, following a century by Smriti Mandhana, the first hundred by an Indian woman in Australia. The umpires inspected the ground at 8.45 pm local time, and decided to further play was possible due to a wet outfield needed.

After 44.1 overs on Day 1, only 57 hours were bowled on Day 2, in which India scored 144 runs for the loss of four wickets.
