Australia win the match, India win the series: Twitter reacts to AUS vs IND 3rd T20 Image

Australia avoided a much possible whitewash by the hands of India at the Sydney Cricket Ground to end the T20 series with a win. Winning the toss, Indian captain Virat Kohli once again decided to field first.

Matthew Wade (80) and Glenn Maxwell (54) both scored fantastic half-centuries to take Australia to 186-5 in their 20 overs. Chasing yet another big total, Indian captain Virat Kohli once again was the architect of the Indian innings as he scored 85 runs off 61 balls, but couldn’t wrap up the chase as wickets kept tumbling on the other end. Hardik Pandya showed promise in his 13 ball innings of 20, but he too was unable to finish the game for the men in blue.

With this win, both Australia and India have won three games each in the six-match limited-overs leg in this much-anticipated tour. Twitter was very much into the game and even though Australia won the game, much of the focus was around Team India.

It was a fine day out in the middle for Matthew Wade and Glenn Maxwell. The duo added 90 runs for the third wicket and were almost hitting at will.

The standard of fielding has been tough to digest, especially for Indian fans. Too many catches were dropped in this game as well. Former England Captain, Michael Vaughan gave his opinion on the same.

One fine moment did come for India on the field as Sanju Samson produced one of his trademark boundary line superman saves. Something which was lauded highly by the Twitterati.

It wasn’t just Samson who produced a piece of magic on the night. Steve Smith did the same in India’s innings.

Everyone was just waiting for the Wasim Jaffer special after the third T20 but the former India great decided to keep it simple and applaud the Indian team for their series win against Australia.

The most special moment of the series funnily came after the series ended. In the post-match celebrations. Captain Virat Kohli handed the series trophy to T Natarajan. A moment that was caught on the camera and shared by many on social media.

Hardik Pandya decided to do something even special. The Indian all-rounder gave his man of the series award to T Natarajan, praising him on the social media in what was to become the eye candy of the social media posts.
