Bangabandhu Four-Nation Physically Challenged Cricket Tournament starts in Cox's Bazar Image

The Bangabandhu Cricket Tournament started with a colorful program today at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium, Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. In the first match of the tournament, Bangladesh beat the physically challenged cricket team of Nepal by a huge margin of 209 runs.

Bangladesh captain Shumit Faisal Khan won the toss and elected to bat. Bangladesh put up a mammoth 231/3 in 20 overs. Shakeel scored 69, Shahryar 68, Javed 45 and Shumit Faisal Khan 25. For Nepal, Chhabi took two and Suman took one wicket. In response, Nepal were bowled out for just 22 runs. For Bangladesh, Munir and Russell took four wickets each, Sajjad and Muniruzma took one wicket each.

Earlier, the inaugural program of the tournament concluded with a colorful program by blowing balloons in the sky.

Tomorrow, on 28 March at 9.30 am, India will face Nepal. The match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will be played at 1:30 in the day.
