Mohammad Mithun’s 51-ball 72 was not enough for Sylhet Sunrisers as they lost to Khulna Tigers by nine wickets in Match 17 of the Bangladesh Premier League 2022 in Mirpur. Khulna chased 144 against Sylhet with 34 balls to spare, courtesy an unbeaten 47-ball 71 from Andre Fletcher, which included five sixes and five fours.

Barring Mithun, Mosaddek Hossain (34) was the only Sylhet batter to reach double digits. Sylhet posted 142/5 after Mushfiqur Rahim asked them to bat. Nabil Samad returned figures of 4-1-10-1 and Khaled Ahmed 2-20, while Kamrul Islam and Soumya Sarkar took a wicket each.

Chattogram Challengers v Comilla Victorians

Comilla Victorians beat Chattogram Challengers by nine wickets in Match 18 of the competition. They restricted the Challengers to 138/8 after asking them to bat and reached the target with nine balls to spare.

After a rain interruption during the first innings, the revised target for Comilla was 144. They rode on Imrul Kayes’ unbeaten 62-ball 81 and Litton Das’ 37-ball 53 to get there in 16.3 overs. Mustafizur Rahman was adjudged Player of the Match for his 5-27.
