Yash Dhull will lead the 17-member India squad in the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2022, to be held in the West Indies from 14 January to 5 February across four countries. S.K. Rasheed was named Dhull's deputy, as confirmed by the BCCI in a statement on 19 December.
Dinesh Bana and Aaradhya Yadav were selected as wicketkeepers, while Rishit Reddy, Uday Saharan, Ansh Gosai, Amrit Raj Upadhyay and P.M. Singh Rathore were named as standby options.
India, four-time Under-19 World Cup champions (2000, 2008, 2012, 2018), will begin their campaign against South Africa on 15 January, in Guyana. After that, they will travel to Trinidad and Tobago to face Ireland and Uganda, on 19 and 22 January respectively.

A total of 16 teams will compete across 48 matches in the World Cup. There will be four groups of four teams each, and the top two sides from each group will advance to the Super League stage of the tournament.
