Perth Scorchers vs Melbourne Stars
Match 27 of the Big Bash League 2021/22 between Perth Scorchers and Melbourne Stars was postponed after the emergence of the Covid-19 case in the Stars camp.
The member tested positive in the RT-PCR test conducted hours before the match. The others were in close contact with him, and thus they were required to undergo the PCR. The result of the test was not possible before the match.
'While regrettable, the decision to postpone tonight's match was the only option available given the exposures within the Stars cohort,' said Alistair Dobson, the general manager of the Big Bash Leagues.
With six wickets and a defeat, Perth Scorchers are placed second in the points table. Melbourne Stars are at sixth place.
