Cameron Green's unbeaten 64 and Tilak Verma's quickfire 37 helped Mumbai Indians (MI) beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 14 runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL) clash on Tuesday. Arjun Tendulkar held his nerve in the final over for his maiden wicket in IPL. MI's impressive bowling display restricted Sunrisers to 178 all out in the chase of 193 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

MI, who lost their captain early, scored 53/1 in the Power-play. Ishan Kishan and Green steadied things in the middle before Marco Jansen struck twice in one over to dismiss Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav.

However, Verma brought the much-needed impetus to the innings, hitting two fours and back-to-back sixes in Jansen's over to collect 21 runs. He along with Green counter-attacked and added a 50+ stand for the fourth wicket.

Green brought up his maiden IPL fifty off just 33 balls with a hat-trick of boundaries. He and Tim David collected 14 runs off the final over with the latter getting run out on the last delivery of the innings. MI posted a competitive total of 192/5.

In reply, Sunrisers got off to a slow start and were reduced to 25/2 within four overs. Mayank Agarwal and Aiden Markram steadied the ship before Green dismissed the SRH captain for 22 runs. Piyush Chawla then sent Abhishek Sharma packing for 1.

With 24 needed off 12, Green bowled a superb penultimate over, conceding just four runs. Tendulkar held his nerve, picked up his maiden IPL wicket and conceded just five runs in the last over as Sunrisers were bowled out for 178.

With their third successive win, MI jumped two spots to sixth in the table.
