Trinbago Knight Riders defeated St Kitts & Nevis Patriots by four wickets in the last match of the league stage of the CPL 2021. The victory helped the Knight Riders finish at the top of the points table for the second time in a row.
However, their campaign was not as immaculate as it was a year ago, when they didn’t lose even a single game. They started their campaign with a loss to Guyana Amazon Warriors, and went on to lose three more in the next nine matches.
The Knight Riders accrued 12 points, the same as the two teams beneath them but finished at the top due to a better run rate. The Warriors finished at the second position. On No. 3 were the Patriots, who started their campaign on an emphatic note, but lost their plot midway through.
Barbados Royals could only manage three victories in ten games. They finished at the bottom of the points table. Jamaica Tallawahs were just above them at No. 5.
