An emphatic 157-run partnership between Kyle Mayers and Glenn Phillips stunned Saint Lucia Kings as Barbados Royals chased down a target of 191 runs with eight wickets and seven balls to spare. The Kings, however still qualified for the semi-finals after finishing fourth in the league.

The Kings put up a comprehensive batting display, with their top-four scoring bulk of the total. Andre Fletcher and Rahkeem Cornwall provided the Kings with a brisk start, adding 62 runs in just over six overs before the latter got out on 40.

Fletcher then added a crucial partnership with Roston Chase. Both looked at ease on the crease, and kept scoring at a healthy run rate. Fletcher got run out on 31. Chase went on to notch his fourth half-century of the innings. He scored 56 off 38 before falling to Oshane Thomas.

Chasing 191 was never going to be easy, and they almost gave away the match by losing Shai Hope and Johnson Charles in the sixth power. The scoreboard then read 37/2.

But Phillips and Mayers then took it all upon themselves, and saw their team past the finishing line. Where Mayers (82* off 62) was a bit thoughtful in his approach, Phillips (80* off 39) launched a ruthless assault, as his strike rate hovered above 200.

Guyana Amazon Warriors vs Jamaica Tallawahs

In a rain-marred contest reduced to 18-overs-per-side, Guyana Amazon Warriors crushed Jamaica Tallawahs by 14 runs to crush their semi-final hopes. The Tallawahs could only muster 128/10 while chasing 142/7.

The Warriors didn't have the best of the starts after opting to bat first. They lost four wickets for just 42 runs. Shimron Hetmyer and Chris Green got out without opening their account. Both fell to Chris Green.

Romario Shepherd played a blinder, slamming 72 off 31 balls, with the help of seven fours and six sixes, to propel the Warriors to 142/7. Imad Wasim (3-15) was the pick of the bowlers.

Imran Tahir struck twice in his opening over, removing Kennar Lewis and Kirk McKenzie, to reduce the Tallawahs to 4/2. They never recovered, and again lost two quick wickets. Shepherd starred with ball as well, removing Imad Wasim and Rovman Powell in the space of four balls. In the end, they were skittled out for 128.

St Kitts and Nevis Patriots vs Trinbago Knight Riders

St Kitts & Nevis Patriots 147/7 in 20 overs (Joshua Da Silva 50; Ali Khan 3-19) lost to Trinbago Knight Riders 150/6 in 19 overs ( Kieron Pollard 51; Fawad Ahmed 2-16). Player of the Match: Kieron Pollard

Trinbago Knight Riders finished the league stage with a four-wicket victory over St Kitts & Nevis Patriots to finish as a table-topper. They will now take on St Lucia Kings in the semi-final. The Knight Riders chased down a target of 148 runs in 19 overs, thanks to a 22-ball 51 from Pollard.

The Patriots missed Evin Lewis, and Joshua Da Silva opened the innings, alongside Chris Gayle. Da Silva huffed and puffed to 50 in 45 balls, before Dwayne Bravo added the finishing touch with his 13-ball 25.

The Knight Riders chased down the target without any hiccups. Kieron Pollard bailed the team out after a rare middle order failure. Pollard made 51 before Isuru Udana 16-ball 25 saw the team past the target.
