Jamaica Tallawahs v Trinbago Knight Riders

Trinbago Knight Riders 167/4 in 20 overs (Simmons 42; Imad 1-13) beat Jamaica Tallawahs 92 in 18.2 overs (Powell 22; Ali Khan 4-6) by 75 runs. Player of the Match: Ali Khan.

Ali Khan picked up 4-6 on his CPL return for Trinbago Knight Riders to propel his side to a thumping 75-run win over Jamaica Tallawahs in Match 19 of the season at Warner Park.

After being put in, Trinbago got off to a sluggish start again. While Lendl Simmons made 42 in 39 balls, Colin Munro and Leonardo Julien took 17 and 25 balls for their respective 14 and 17. They were 105/4 in 17.2 overs.

Kieron Pollard (39* in 18 balls) and Tim Seifert (24* in 8) took charge from there, and added an unbroken 62 in the last 16 balls to take Trinbago to 167/4. Imad Wasim and Veerasammy Permaul bowled eight tight overs, taking a wicket each.

Jamaica bat deeper than any team this season. Still, they were never really in the chase. Apart from Rovman Powell, no one scored in excess of 15, as they were skittled for just 92 with 10 balls to spare. Sunil Narine and Ravi Rampaul claimed two wickets each.

Barbados Royals vs Guyana Amazon Warriors

Barbados Royals 185/8 in 20 overs (Phillips 44; Shepherd 3-31) beat Guyana Amazon Warriors 140 in 17.2 overs (Smith 43; Young 3-24) by 45 runs. Player of the Match: Kyle Mayers.

Barbados Royals kept their Playoffs hopes alive with a 45-run win against Guyana Amazon Warriors in Match 20.

Barbados piled 185/8 after being put in, thanks to a blistering start from Kyle Mayers (36 in 20 balls) and Johnson Charles (40 in 21), a 31-ball 44 from Glenn Phillips in the middle overs, and then a breezy cameo from Jason Holder (22 in 7) at the end. With 3-31, Romario Shepherd was the pick of the Guyana bowlers.

Coming to the chase, Guyana kept losing wickets from the beginning. At No. 7, Odean Smith made a valiant 29-ball 43, but it was still not enough. They were bowled out for 140 in 17.2 overs. Nyeem Young returned 3-24, and Raymon Reifer 2-25.
