Gloucestershire v Middlesex, Cheltenham
Gloucestershire 248 (Hammond 75; Bamber 3-39) and 272 (Bracey 88; Mitchell 4-42) beat Middlesex 101 (Robson 37; M Taylor 4-19) and 255 (Eskinazi 102; Taylor 5-40) by 164 runs.
Dan Worrall (5-54) and Matt Taylor (5-40) shared all ten wickets in the final innings to guide Gloucestershire to a 164-run win over Middlesex at Cheltenham.
Middlesex resumed Day 4 on 97/3. They needed 323 more runs to win the contest, with seven wickets in hand. The pair of Stephen Eskinazi and Daryl Mitchell kept Middlesex’s hopes alive by adding 145 for the fourth wicket.
Worrall finally provided Gloucestershire the much-needed breakthrough by dismissing Eskinazi (102) just after the latter brought up his seventh First-class hundred. Middlesex were 201/4 at this point. They needed 219.
Robbie White then contributed with 32 runs in his 40-run stand with Daryl Mitchell (73) before they both fell in successive balls of Taylor, in the 118th over. Middlesex lost their last six wickets for 14 runs, while three of their last five batters departed for nought. They were bowled out for 255.
