Kent v Sussex, Canterbury

Sussex 181 (Coles 36; Singh 4-51) and 277/3 (Orr 119; Quinn 2-88) lead Kent 165 (Podmore 37; Atkins 5-51) by 293 runs

Kent could not add much to their overnight tally on Day 3. They were bowled out for 165. Jamie Atkins claimed a five-for, while Ollie Robinson picked up three wickets. Sussex then rode on a 209-run opening stand between Alastair Orr (119) and Tom Haines (94) to accrue a massive lead of 293.

Sussex reached 277/3 by the stumps on Day 3. Travis Head is batting on 29 and Oliver Carter on 15.

Yorkshire v Lancashire, Headingley

Lancashire 411/2 (Jennings 132; Thompson 2-76) vs Yorkshire

After a washed-out Day 2, no play was possible after tea due to unsafe conditions. The contest is going to end in a draw. Luke Wells and Josh Bohannon added an unbeaten 155 runs for the third wicket as Yorkshire failed to take a single wicket on Day 3.

Wells is unbeaten on 97, while Bohannon is on 74. Lancashire will resume the day on 411/2.

Glamorgan v Northamptonshire, Cardiff

Northamptonshire 215 (Zaib 50; Salter 4-18) trail Glamorgan 462/4 (Carlson 170*; Procter 3-77) by 247 runs.

Glamorgan rode on centuries from Kiran Carlson and Chris Cooke to finish the day on 462/4. They have already accrued a lead worth 247. An overnight, or even early morning, declaration may give them a serious chance of a win.

Resuming on 52/2, Marnus Labuschagne and Billy Root added 122 runs for the third wicket. Luke Procter bowled both of them to reduce Glamorgan to 155/4.

Carlson and Cooke then put up a mammoth partnership of 307 to knock Northamptonshire out of the game. Carlson is still batting on 170, and he will aim for a double century before putting the opponents to bat. Cooke is unbeaten on 133.
