Jack Leaning stood unflustered against Lancashire attack, playing 199 balls for an unbeaten 53 to salvage a draw for Kent. Earlier, Lancashire declared their innings on 259/9.
Having conceded a deficit of 185 runs, things got worse for Lancashire when they lost both openers in quick succession. Joe Denly then edged one to Dane Vilas. Kent were 40/3 at this point.

Sussex bowlers, led by Jack Carson, kept striking regularly but there was not much time for them to wrap up the innings. Glamorgan made 154/5 before the play was called off.
