Of all the seven fixtures that concluded on Sunday, 23 May, only Nottinghamshire versus Worcestershire yield a result. Ben Duckett’s unbeaten 177, coupled with fifties from Steve Mullaney and Lyndon James, helped Notts declare on 440. Worcestershire then got skittled out for 80 and 150, thereby losing the match by an innings and 170 runs.

Most runs

Despite getting a duck against Durham, Derbyshire’s David Bedingham is still the leading run-getter so far in the Championship. With 611 runs at 67.88, Jack Libby is at second place. Surrey skipper Rory Burns finally notched his first century of the season after failing to convert seven fifties. He is at fifth place, followed by Kiran Carlson and Adam Lyth.

Most wickets

With 36 wickets, Somerset’s Craig Overton leads this season’s wickets chart. However, he will will not be featuring anytime soon, as he is a part of the England squad for their two Test matches against New Zealand.

Essex’s Simon Harmer is at second, followed by Hampshire’s Kyle Abbott, who picked up seven wickets against Leicestershire. Abbott’s seam-bowling partner Mohammad Abbas is at eighth place. Luke Fletcher picked up 10 wickets to hand a heavy defeat to Worcestershire. With 36 wickets, he is now at fifth place.
