Middlesex defeated Worcestershire by 101 runs to register their third consecutive victory. They have accrued 77 points, and sit at the top of the points table. This was the second defeat for Worcestershire, who are now placed fourth in the points table.

Kent is another team to register three successive victories. They are at No. 2. Sussex have lost three straight matches, and they are positioned fifth in the league.

Divison 2

With two wins and a draw against Surrey this week, Essex are the numero uno team in Division 2 of the County Championship. They are followed by Northamptonshire and Durham, as both sides settled for a draw at County Ground.

Gloucestershire crushed Durham by 10 wickets to hand them their third successive loss. Gloucestershire are at the fourth position, and Glamorgan sit at the bottom of the points table.
