The Royals have signed Glenn Phillips as replacement for Chris Morris. Phillips is likely to pair Johnson Charles at the top. They have also signed up Oshane Thomas this year. Rashid Khan will be missing CPL 2021 due to international commitments, and Hayden Walsh Jr will lead the spin attack in Rashid’s absence.
The Patriots are also bereft of several of their key players. Anrich Nortje, Rassie van der Dussen, and Wanindu Hasaranga are all on international duty. Chris Gayle is back after missing the last edition due to personal reasons. Fabian Allen and Fawad Ahmed will be the main spinners.

- Gayle has had an ordinary T20I series against Australia. Avoid picking him in your team. Lewis and Phillips are better options.
- Among all-rounders, pick Jason Holder and Allen.
