The second triple header of the Caribbean Premier League 2021 will conclude with St Kitts and Nevis Patriots taking on Trinbago Knight Rider on 13 September, in Match 30 of the season at Warner Park. This will be the last match of the league stage, and St Kitts and Nevis are the only side so far, who have booked their place for the knockouts.
The two sides last met less than 24 hours ago. Trinbago, who like to chase, were asked to bat after Dwayne Bravo won the toss. They posted 159/7, with Colin Munro top-scoring with 34-ball 47. But the most impactful knock of this innings came from Sunil Narine, who hit one four and four sixes in his breezy 18-ball 33 not out.
For St Kitts and Nevis, Jon-Russ Jaggesar and Dominic Drakes claimed three wickets each, while Sheldon Cottrell was as impressive as them, despite not picking up any wicket.
Chris Gayle and Evin Lewis got St Kitts and Nevis off to a blistering start. They added 67 in the Powerplay before Gayle fell, and Lewis then single-handedly took his side past the finishing line in just 14.4 overs, with eight wickets in hand. Lewis remained not out on 102, with five fours and 11 sixes.
Defending champions Trinbago have got a better net run rate than any other side this season. They currently sit at second place, with five wins and four defeats. Guyana Amazon Warriors and Saint Lucia Kings have also bagged 10 points, while Jamaica Tallawahs are just behind them, with eight points.
All six teams will be in action, and four of them will fight for the remaining three spots in the semi-finals.

– Bet on St Kitts and Nevis again. Appoint Fabian Allen as captain. Narine can be a handy vice-captain pick.
– Pick all three – Gayle, Munro, and Lewis – among batters. They are highly dependable top order options.
