Netherlands host New Zealand for two T20Is

New Zealand will tour the Netherlands for two T20Is this August. The three-match ODI series between them is currently underway in New Zealand. VCC Ground in Voorburg will host both T20Is.

'The chance to play the best white ball teams in the world has always been the goal for this team. To test our young players against them, as well as showcase our skills in front of our home fans is so extremely exciting,' said Ryan Campbell, the Netherlands coach. 

Shakib to miss second Test as well

Shakib Al Hasan will not be available for the second Test against South Africa. He returned home after the final ODI due to personal reasons, but the board was expecting him to be available for the second Test.

'He (Shakib) is not available for the second Test against South Africa,' said Minhajul Abedin to Cricbuzz. ''He informed us that he will be going to the USA as he needs to set up his family there.'

Peter Nevill retires from cricket

Peter Nevill announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on 1 April. Nevil made his international debut in 2015 against England, and played seven more games before falling out of favour. 

'I always knew that I was close to the end of my career,' said Nevill. 'It was a frustrating season for me, I think I've missed more games this season due to injury than the rest of my career combined.'

Kolkata beat Punjab by six wickets 

Andre Russell slammed 70 in just 31 balls to help Kolkata Knight Riders beat Punjab Kings in Indian Premier League 2022. Kolkata chased down 138 in 14.3 overs despite being 51/4 at one point. Russell's knock comprised two fours and eight sixes, and he was assisted by Sam Billings (24).

Earlier, Umesh Yadav took 4-23 to help Kolkata bowl out Punjab for just 137. For Punjab, Bhanuka Rajapaksa top-scored with 31.
