Tim David extends Hobart Hurricanes contracts

Tim David has extended his contract with Hobart Hurricanes for another two years. With a strike rate of 164, David was one of the most destructive batters for the Hurricanes in the Big Bash League 2021/22. He also bagged a lucrative contract with Mumbai Indians for the Indian Premier League 2022.

'I'm really happy to be extending my time with the Hurricanes,' said David. 'I'm thankful to the opportunity they gave me two years ago to be part of this team. The Hurricanes have been an important part of my growth as a player.'

South Africa Women to tour England 

South Africa Women will play their first Test match in over eight years when they tour England later this year. They had played their last Test match back in 2014/15 against India at Mysuru. The Test match will be played in Taunton from 27 March, followed by three ODIs and as many T20Is.

'We are thrilled to be able to announce a compelling summer of international women's cricket against two of the best teams in the world, in what is a bumper year for the women's game,' said Clare Connor, Managing Director of England Women's Cricket.

Bangladesh name Rajin Saleh as interim fielding coach

A day after Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) appointed Jamie Siddons as batting coach, they have now roped in Rajin Saleh as interim fielding coach. Bangladesh are set to play three ODIs and two T20Is against Afghanistan.

'He will not be touring with us in South Africa as at that point we have Dhaka Premier League, country's traditional Dhaka-club based tournament scheduled from March 15, and Rajin is involved in the competition in coaching capacity,' Jalal Yunus, the cricket operation chair confirmed. 

BCCI changes schedules for India-Sri Lanka series

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a change in schedule for the upcoming multi-format series between India and Sri Lanka. The T20I series will now be held before Tests in Mohali and Bengaluru. The first T20I will be played on 25 February in Lucknow, and the Test series will begin from 4 March.
