Brooke Halliday to miss the last ODI against India

Brooke Halliday will miss the last ODI vs India after testing positive for Covid-19. She will now undergo mandatory isolation of seven days, and will have to test negative before joining the squad.

'This is obviously a frustrating time for Brooke,' said head coach Bob Carter. 'But she's remaining upbeat, and as a team we're supporting her and checking in on her by phone etc. Of course, we're looking forward to her re-joining the team once she's met the appropriate protocols.'

ACB names Noor-ul-Haq Malikazi as chief selector

Noor-ul-Haq Malikzai has been named as chief selector for the senior men's team by the Afghanistan Cricket Board. He was already working in the same role on an interim basis before the board decided to hand him a full-time role. 

'We have a busy 2022, and as a team we will be working on to not only address our short-term needs but also achieve our long-term goals,' Malikazai said.

Warner, Maxwell to miss limited-overs leg vs Pakistan

Australia have rested Josh Hazlewood, Glenn Maxwell, Pat Cummins, David Warner, and Mitchell Starc for the limited-overs series in Pakistan. They will join their respective IPL franchises immediately after the Test series, but will be unavailable to play till 6 April.

In a rain-marred clash in Christchurch, reduced to 20 overs a side, New Zealand defeated India by 63 runs to extend their lead to 4-0. India were bowled out for 128 while chasing 192. Amelia Kerr was adjudged Player of the Match for her unbeaten 68 and three wickets. For India, Richa Ghosh top-scored 52, but the top four batters scored only 17 between them.
