'A Disciplinary Panel of the Cricket Discipline Commission has announced its sanction on Jason Roy after he admitted a charge of conducting himself in a manner which may be prejudicial to the interests of cricket or which may bring the game of cricket, the ECB and himself into disrepute, in breach of ECB Directive 3.3,' read the ECB statement.

Stirling joins Bears for Blast

Paul Stirling is set to play for Birmingham Bears in Vitality T20 Blast 2022. He will be available for the first half of the tournament before joining his national squad. Ireland will host India, South Africa, and Bangladesh this summer.

'I’m incredibly excited to join up with the Bears for this year’s Vitality Blast. They were the masters of the red ball game last year, but also have big ambitions in white-ball cricket and want to be playing at home on Finals Day,' stated Stirling.

Kane Richardson ruled out of Pakistan tour

Kane Richardson will miss the white-ball leg of the Pakistan tour after sustaining a hamstring injury during a practice session in Melbourne. The ACB named Ben Dwarshuis as a replacement for the solitary T20I and the three-match ODI series.

'One thing that will help is the guys have played a lot of T20 cricket,' said Australian captain Aaron Finch. 'They're quite inexperienced for Australia but I think playing T20 cricket will help them in that regard. There's a lot of skill in the group and guys that have been around one-day cricket for a long time domestically as well.'
