England name T20I squad for West Indies series

England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has named a 16-member squad for the forthcoming five-match T20I series versus West Indies. The players involved in the ongoing Ashes have been rested. 

Eoin Morgan will continue to lead the side, with Paul Collingwood filling in as head coach. Marcus Trescothick has been named assistant coach. 

England T20I squad: Eoin Morgan (c), Moeen Ali, Tom Banton, Sam Billings, Liam Dawson, George Garton, Chris Jordan, Liam Livingstone, Saqib Mahmood, Tymal Mills, David Payne, Adil Rashid, Jason Roy, Phil Salt, Reece Topley, James Vince.

Sunrisers Hyderabad names Lara as batting coach

After finishing at the bottom of the points table in IPL 2021, Sunrisers Hyderabad decided to revamp their coaching setup for the upcoming season. They have appointed Brian Lara, Dale Steyn, Muttiah Muralitharan, and Hemang Badani as batting, pace-bowling, spin-bowling, and fielding coaches respectively, and have roped in Simon Katich as assistant to the head coach Tom Moody.

IPL 2022 auction to be held in Bangalore

The mega auction for IPL 2022 will be held in Bangalore, on 12 and 13 February. On 12 February, India are supposed to play a T20I match versus West Indies, but the BCCI official has confirmed that the auction will still go on.

'It has been clarified to us that the match and auction are two different things and both will go ahead,' a franchise official told Cricbuzz.

India Under-19 beat UAE Under-19 by 154 runs

India registered a 151-run win over UAE in the ACC Under-19 Asia Cup 2021. Harnoor Singh scored 120 off 130 balls and Yash Dhull made 63 as India posted 282/5 in 50 overs. The UAE were then bowled out for 128 in 34.3 overs. Rajvardhan Hangargekar (3-24) was the pick of Indian bowlers, while Garv Sangwan, Vicky Ostwal, and Kaushal Tambe picked up two wickets each. India will play Pakistan in the next game.
