Rain washes out Day 2 at Centurion

Persistent rain washed out Day 2 of the first Test between India and South Africa in Centurion. However, the weather forecast is relatively better for the next two days. K.L. Rahul scored his seventh Test century on Day 1, and is batting on 122, along with Ajinkya Rahane on 40. India will resume Day 3 on 272/3, having lost all three wickets to Lungi Ngidi.

India beat Afghanistan by four wickets in the ongoing ACC Under-19 Asia Cup 2021. They chased down 260 in 48.2 overs. Harnoor Singh scored 65, and Raj Bawa remained unbeaten on 43. For Afghanistan, Noor Ahmed took four wickets. Earlier, Afghanistan rode on half-centuries from Suliman Safi and Ijaz Ahmad Ahmadzai to post 259/4. Safi scored 73, while Ahmadzai remained unbeaten on 86.

Tamim, Mahmudullah join Dhaka for BPL

The Dhaka franchise have acquired Tamim Iqbal and Mahmudullah for the upcoming season of the BPL. The initial bidder of the team has failed to pay a sum of BDT Five Crore as a bank guarantee. The search for a new bidder is on.

'We still have some offers in our hand for Dhaka franchise after we decided not to continue with the initial bidder as they failed to fulfil all our requirements on time,' BPL secretary Ismail Haider told Cricbuzz.
