Pakistan name squad for Australia Tests

Pakistan left Mohammad Abbas and Yasir Shah out of their 16-member squad for the upcoming Test series against Australia. Shan Masood has been added in as replacement for Abid Ali, who is nursing an injury. The first Test match will be played in Rawalpindi from 4 March.

Prince steps down as Bangladesh batting coach

Ashwell Prince has resigned as the batting coach of Bangladesh Men with immediate effect. Prince had joined the team last year, ahead of the series against Zimbabwe, and was later granted an extension till the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.

With Bangladesh set to tour South Africa next month, the board will soon announce the new batting coach.

Shakib to miss Test series vs South Africa

Shakib Al Hasan has withdrawn his name from the forthcoming two-match Test series against South Africa. However, he has confirmed his availability for the ODIs. Shakib had earlier hinted at contemplating his future in Test cricket, as it has become increasingly difficult for him to feature in all three formats.

'Shakib will certainly play the ODIs against South Africa and though he did not say anything regarding his availability for the Test series, he informed that he will be available for the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka,' BCB cricket operation chairman Jalal Yunus told Cricbuzz.

India beat West Indies by 44 runs

India beat West Indies by 44 runs in the second ODI to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series. Prasidh Krishna was awarded Player of the Match for his 4-12 that helped bowl out West Indies for 193.

Earlier, Suryakumar Yadav (64) and K.L. Rahul (49) steadied the Indian innings after they were reduced to 43/3. Alzarri Joseph and Odean Smith took two wickets each as India finished on 237/9.
