Pat Cummins took 5-38 on the opening day of the first Ashes Test match at the Gabba to become the eighth Australian captain to take five-wickets in an innings. Richie Benaud, George Giffen, Allan Border, Michael Clarke, Ian Johnson, Monty Noble and Hugh Trumble had also achieved the feat during their tenures.
