South Africa announce squad for Netherlands series

Cricket South Africa have announced a 16-member squad for their upcoming ODI series against the Netherlands. Keshav Maharaj is set to lead in the absence of Temba Bavuma, who has been rested. Aiden Markram, Quinton de Kock, Rassie van der Dussen and Kagiso Rabada are few other players to be rested.

South Africa squad: Keshav Maharaj (c), Daryn Dupavillon, Zubayr Hamza, Reeza Hendricks, Sisanda Magala, Janneman Malan, David Miller, Lungi Ngidi, Dwaine Pretorius, Andile Phehlukwayo, Wayne Parnell, Ryan Rickelton, Tabraiz Shamsi, Kyle Verreynne, Lizaad Williams, Khaya Zondo.

Gayle, du Plessis, Shamsi to play LPL 2021

Chris Gayle, Faf du Plessis and Tabraiz Shamsi amongst others will be taking part in the forthcoming edition of the Lanka Premier League. Chris Gayle is roped in by Colombo Stars, Tabraiz Shamsi will be playing for Galle Gladiators. Other than Shamsi, the Gladiators have also picked up the services of Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Amir, and Samit Patel. Faf du Plessis will play for Jaffna Kings.

New Zealand reach the final of T20 World Cup 2021

New Zealand defeated England by five wickets to seal their place in the final of the ICC T20 World Cup. New Zealand rode on a 47-ball 72 from Daryll Mitchell, and a late cameo from James Neesham (27 off 11) to chase the target with an over remaining.

Earlier, England were lifted by Moeen Ali's 51 Dawid Malan's 41 to post 166/4. Liam Livingstone (17) also chipped in with a crucial contribution. Tim Southee (1-24) was the pick of the bowlers for New Zealand. They will now face the winner of the second semi-final between Australia and Pakistan in the summit clash. 

Nabi set to play for Melbourne Renegades

Melbourne Renegades have signed Mohammad Nabi for the upcoming season of the BBL. Nabi has played for the Renegades for the past four seasons.

'It's great to be linking up with the Renegades once again. Going into my fifth Big Bash campaign, I feel like part of their family. I hope we can win another title and give our fans something to smile about after such a difficult time for everyone,' said Nabi.
