Natarajan tested positive for COVID-19.

T. Natarajan has returned positive for the Covid-19, as revealed in the RT-PCR test conducted ahead of the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals. He is currently under a self-isolation period of 10 days, and will have to return two negative RT-PCR tests before joining the squad.

Vijay Shankar and five support staff are also isolated from the contingent. They had been in close contact with Natarajan. However, they have tested negative. The rest of the squad also returned negative for Covid-19 as and the match went on as scheduled.

Samuels charged under anti-corruption code

The ICC has charged Marlon Samuels of breaching the Anti-Corruption code during his stint in the Abu Dhabi T10 League. Samuel has 14 days to register his response.

Samuels was charged for not cooperating with the investigation, concealing information, and on two other counts. He played for Karnataka Tuskers in the T10 League, and represented West Indies in 71 Tests, 207 ODIs and 67 T20Is.

He bid adieu to the game last year. Previously, he was handed a two-year ban in 2008 for accepting illegal advances.

ACB sacks Shinwari

Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has sacked Hamid Shinwari as a Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Shinwari will be succeeded by Naseebullah Khan. Azizullah Fazli remains the chairman of the board.

'Today Mr Anas Haqqani came to the cricket board office and told me that 'your job as the CEO of ACB is over.' He introduced Naseebullah Haqqani as the new CEO. I asked for a written order on my termination but I did not receive one,' wrote Shinwari on Facebook.

Delhi goes on the top of the points table

Delhi Capitals has climbed to the top of the points table with a convincing eight-wicket win against Sunrisers Hyderabad. They chased down a target of 135 in 17.5 overs with eight wickets to spare.

Kane Williamson's decision to bat first after winning the toss backfired. Their innings never gathered momentum. Abdul Samad hit 28 off 21 deliveries, and Rashid Khan contributed with a 19-ball 22, to drag the total to 134. For Delhi, Kagiso Rabada picked three wickets, and Anrich Nortje and Axar Patel two each. 

Shreyas Iyer then forged crucial partnerships with Shikhar Dhawan and Rishabh Pant, as Delhi mowed down the total without any glitch. Iyer remained unbeaten on 47, and Pant's contribution was worth 35. Dhawan made 42 off 37.
