India snap Australia's winning streak
India defeated Australia by two wickets in the third ODI to end their streak of 26 ODI wins. Jhulan Goswami was adjudged Player of the Match for her impressive performances with both bat and ball. She picked up three wickets before hitting the winning boundary.
Chasing 265, India got off a decent start, thanks to a 59-run opening partnership between Smriti Mandhana (22) and Shafali Verma (56). Yastika Bhatia struck nine fours for her 69-ball 64, while Deepti Sharma (31) and Sneh Rana (30) chipped in with handy contributions.
Earlier, Australia rode on half-centuries from Beth Mooney (52) and Ashleigh Gardner (67) to post 264/9 in 50 overs. Tahlia McGrath's contribution was worth 47 off 32 deliveries.
RCB beat MI by 54 runs
Fifties from Virat Kohli (51) and Glenn Maxwell (56), coupled with a Harshal Patel's 4-17 and Yuzvendra Chahal's 3-11, propelled Royal Challengers Bangalore to a convincing 54-run victory over Mumbai Indians. They posted 165/6 before skittling out Mumbai for 111.
Harshal claimed a hat-trick in the 17th over, when he got Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard and Rahul Chahar. Barring Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock, none of the MI batters could touch the double-digit mark.
Earlier, the Royal Challengers lost Devdutt Padikkal cheaply, but Virat Kohli and K.S. Bharat added 68 for the second wicket. Bharat got out in the ninth over. Glenn Maxwell then smashed 56 off just 37 deliveries.
Chennai go on top with two-wicket win over Kolkata
Chennai Super Kings climbed to the top of the points table with a two-wicket win against Kolkata Knight Riders. They chased down 172 in 20 overs.
With 24 needed in 10 balls, Ravindra Jadeja smashed 6, 6, 4, 4 in the penultimate over, bowled by Prasidh Krishna. However, Sunil Narine took two wickets before Deepak Chahar ran a single off the last ball to win the game for Chennai.
Rahul Tripathi top-scored with 45 for Kolkata, while Nitish Rana (27 not out) and Dinesh Karthik (26 in 11 balls) played key cameos.
England crush New Zealand to seal the series 4-1
Tammy Beaumont (102) scored a brilliant century before Kate Cross and Heather Knight picked three wickets each to lead England to a 203-run win over New Zealand in the fifth and final ODI.
Beaumont added 95 for the opening wicket with Lauren Winfield-Hill, and held the innings from one end, forging further key partnerships with Nat Sciver and Ami Jones. Danni Wyatt struck 43 off 20 deliveries to propel her team to 347/5 in 50 overs.
New Zealand's innings never took off, as they lost frequent wickets. They were hurt by quick dismissals of Amy Satterthwaite and Sophie Devine. In the end, they were restricted to 144.
