South Africa snaps England's unbeaten run

Kagiso Rabada claimed a hat-trick in the last over to restrict England 10 runs short of the target at Sharjah Stadium. However, South Africa still failed to qualify for the next round due to the lower net run rate as compared to Australia.

Rassie van der Dussen slammed 94 not out in 60 balls. He was assisted by Aiden Markram, who made 52 not out off just 25 deliveries. They hit 10 sixes between them. For England, Mark Wood and Chris Woakes for over 10 an over.

England got off a flier before Jason Roy retired hurt on 20. Moeen Ali kept the scoreboard ticking with a 27-ball 37. Liam Livingstone's quickfire 28 took England close to the target. But Rabada held his nerves, did the hat-trick, and defended 14 runs in the last over.

Australia beat West Indies by eight wickets

Australia beat West Indies by eight wickets to secure a berth for the semi-finals. They chased down 158 in just 16.2 overs, thanks to an unbeaten 89 from David Warner and a 32-ball 53 from Mitchell Marsh.

Earlier, Josh Hazlewood claimed 4-39 to restrict West Indies to 157/7, while Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa and Pat Cummins picked up a wicket each. Kieron Pollard's 44 was the highest score of the innings.

Shakib unavailable for the T20I series versus Pakistan

Shakib Al Hasan will not be featuring in the upcoming T20I series versus Pakistan owing to a hamstring injury. Shakib suffered a strain in the left lower hamstring during a match against West Indies in ICC T20 World Cup 2021.

The three-match T20I series will begin on 19 November. Following that, both sides will play two Tests. 

Cape Town to host first Test between India and South Africa

The second Test of the three-match series between India and South Africa, originally scheduled for Johannesburg, has been moved to Cape Town. The match will begin on 3 January. Other than three Tests, India will also be playing three T20Is and as many ODIs.
