England Women were up 6-4 in the multiformat series against India Women. They needed to draw – or tie – the T20I series. They went one step ahead, winning the series 2-1. Here is how the English cricketers performed in the series.

Nat Sciver: 9.5 (M 3 R 98 SR 153 W 3 Ec 5.20)

Fittingly the Player of the Series, Sciver demolished the Indian attack in the first match and played an excellent hand in the third. She was the most economical bowler from either side, and got three key wickets.

Danni Wyatt: 8.5 (M 3 R 123 SR 138)

Wyatt batted India out of the third match with an unbeaten 56-ball 89, the seventh-highest score in Women’s T20I history. She also looked dangerous in the first match.

Amy Jones: 7 (M 3 R 54 SR 138)

Jones played a breezy cameo in Northampton. She did not get a catch or a stumping, but kept wickets soundly.

Tammy Beaumont: 7 (M 3 R 88 SR 101)

Beaumont got three starts, but converted only the one at Hove into anything substantial. Loses a point for her strike rate.

Heather Knight: 6 (M 3 R 42 SR 98)

Knight’s only performance of note in the series ended in an unfortunate run out. She remained unbeaten at the chase in Chelmsford.

Sophie Ecclestone: 6 (M 3 W 3 Ec 7.11 R 14)

Ecclestone bowled cleverly, even in the Powerplay overs, cutting the flow of runs down. She was rewarded with three wickets at Chelmsford.

Katherine Brunt: 5.5 (M 3 W 3 Ec 8.00)

Brunt emerged on top in the duel with Shafali Verma, getting the latter for two ducks, both bowled. She went for runs in Hove, but came back well in Chelmsford.

Mady Villiers: 5 (M 3 W 1 Ec 6.60)

After two matches, Villiers’ figures read 3-0-13-1, leaving little to criticise. Then the Indians went after her in Chelmsford.

Sarah Glenn: 2 (M 3 W 2 Ec 8.85)

Glenn started well, taking out Harmanpreet Kaur in Northampton, but was less effective as the series went on.

Sophia Dunkley: 1 (M 3 R 5)

A failure for Dunkley after superb starts in the other two formats. Both her dismissals were outcome of the Indians’ on-field brilliance.

Freya Davies: 1 (M 3 W 1 Ec 7.77)

Davies got a wicket, but left little impression throughout the series.
