A half-century from Danielle Wyatt, coupled with a four-for from Charlotte Dean, drove England to a convincing 13-run victory over New Zealand in the second ODI. The hosts now lead the series by 2-0. 

After being put in to bat, England lost Tammy Beaumont in the second over. Beaumont smashed three quick boundaries in her first five balls before getting out to Sophie Devine.

Heather Knight made 18 off 22 deliveries being undone by Hannah Rowe. England were 59/2 at this point. They lost the next three wickets for just 26 runs. 

Lauren Winfield-Hill, who held the innings from one end, got run out on 39. A well-measured 63 from Wyatt helped England reach 197 in 43.3 overs. For New Zealand, Rowe and Leigh Kasperek picked three wickets each.

Suzie Bates and Lauren Down got the tourists off a decent start. The duo added 40 runs before Bates got out on 28. Down and Maddy Green then got out in the space of three deliveries to left New Zealand reeling at 64/3. 

Sophie Devine (28) and Brooke Halliday (29) offered some resistance in the middle. But Devine's dismissal by Nat Sciver n the 27th over opened the floodgates. In the end, the visitors were bowled out for 169.
