Let us take a look at the key highlights of Match 3 of the 2021 Germany T20 tri-series that took place on 6 August.

Match 3, France v Germany

France 94/9 in 18 overs (Usman Khan 25; Venkatraman Ganesan 2-15) lost to Germany 97/8 in 12.2 overs (Harmanjot Singh 68*; Usman Shahid 3-29) by 2 wickets (DLS Method) with 34 balls to spare. Player of the Match: Harmanjot Singh.

Harmanjot Singh was as good as single-handedly helped Germany beat France by two wickets in the rain-interrupted Match 3 of the Germany T20 tri-series, in Krefeld.

Chasing 95 in 18 overs after the scheduled start was delayed because of rain, Harmanjot hit 11 fours and a six in his unbeaten 34-ball 68 not out to guide Germany reach the target with 34 balls to spare. None of his teammates reached more than 7.

Usman Shahid (3-29) picked up three early wickets to reduce Germany to 31/5 at one point. But Harmanjot showed no mercy to the French bowlers, despite not getting support at the other end, taking his side home.

Earlier, France had finished on 94/9 after Venkatraman Ganesan won the toss and asked them to bat. Usman Khan top-scored with run-a-ball 25 in this total. For Germany, Ganesan (2-15) and Sahir Naqash (2-20) did the most damage, while Ghulam Ahmadi, Nooruddin Mujadady and Dylan Blignaut all claimed a wicket each.
