ICC CWC League 2, Oman vs Scotland: Preview, fantasy tips, probable XIs Image

Oman and Scotland will be up against each other in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 at Al Amerat Cricket Stadium, on Tuesday (28 September). Oman have won 12 out of their 15 matches so far, and are at the top of the points table. With five wins and three defeats, Scotland are at third place.

Scotland possess a strong batting line-up. The opening pair of Matthew Cross and Kyle Coetzer have often got their team off to great starts. Calum MacLeod, George Munsey and Richie Berrington form a strong middle order. They will head into the contest off a convincing six-wicket win over Papua New Guinea, where they chased down 198 in 43 overs. Cross scored 70, and forged an important partnership 78-run partnership with Coetzer.

On the bowling front, they decided to try out Gavin Main and Hamza Tahir, and both responded with three-wicket hauls. They are likely to retain their places.

Oman defeated PNG by 110 runs in their last game. They scored 250/7 before bowling out PNG for 140. Zeeshan Maqsood picked four wickets to be adjudged as Player of the Match. Oman will expect more from Jatinder Singh, who has failed to score anything substantial in the last few games.
