ICC CWC League 2, Scotland vs Papua New Guinea: Preview, fantasy tips, probable XIs Image

Scotland will be up against Papua New Guinea in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 at Al Amerat Cricket Ground, on Wednesday, 29 September. With six wins and three losses, Scotland are at No. 3 in the league, while PNG are yet to win a match, having lost all 10 matches so far.

PNG lost their last match by 110 runs, against Oman. They were bowled out for 140 while chasing 251. Jason Kila's 36 was the highest score of the innings. Lega Siaka and Assad Vala were the only other batters to cross the 20-run mark.

Norman Vanua conceded closes to eight runs per over. Noasana Pokana and Chad Soper were expensive as well, while Kabua Morea picked up two wickets. Vala was also quite handy, leaking just 16 runs from his six overs.

Scotland, meanwhile, will be heading into the contest off an 18-run win over Oman. They scored 273/6 before restricting Oman to 255/9. Chris Sole picked up three wickets, while five other bowlers picked up a wicket each. Among them, Mark Watt bowled a miserly spell, conceding just 22 off his ten overs, including five maidens.

Earlier, Richie Berrington scored 97 in 87 balls, and the skipper Kyle Coetzer's contribution was worth 60. A quickfire 32 from Dylan Budge propelled them to a challenging total.
