Heavy rainfall, signalling the approach of Cyclone Shaheen, forced Oman and Scotland to split the points in the sixth and last match of the seventh League 2 trilateral series at At Amerat, Oman.

An unbeaten 55-ball 58 from George Munsey, with three sixes and as many fours, helped Scotland reach 100/3 in 23.2 overs after they slipped to 24/3 in the Powerplay. Bilal Khan (2-19) and Kaleemullah (1-18) did the damage for Oman before Munsey and Richie Berrington (15*) revived them by adding an unbroken 74-run stand for the fourth wicket.

With the result, Oman remained at the top of the points table with 27 points, albeit second-placed Scotland (16 points) still have six games in hand. Papua New Guinea languish at the bottom. They have lost all 12 games so far.

Brief Scores: Scotland 100/3 in 23.2 overs (George Munsey 58*; Bilal Khan 2-19) vs Oman. No Result.
