ICC Men’s CWC League 2, Oman vs Nepal: Preview, fantasy tips, probable XIs Image

Oman and Nepal will be up against each other in the fifth match of the ICC World Cup League 2, at Al Amerat Cricket Ground, on Sunday (20 September). Oman have accrued 20 points from 12 games, and they sit at the top of the point table.

Nepal have played only seven matches, out of which they won three and lost others. They met Oman four days ago, on 15 September, where they failed to defend a target of 196.

Barring Aasif Sheikh, whose 90 propelled them to a fighting total, none of the batters could manage anything substantial. Sheikh's 90 was overpowered by a blistering century from Jatinder Singh, as Oman chased down the target in 31.1 overs.

In the next game, Oman defeated the United States of America by four wickets. Zeeshan Maqsood, Mohammad Nadeem and Suraj Kumar chipped in with 30-odd runs as Oman mowed down a total of 179 in 49.4 overs.

Bilal Khan has been highly consistent with the ball, picking six wickets in his last two games. Maqsood and Mohammad Nadeem have been equally impressive.

Nepal, meanwhile, will be coming off a six-wicket loss to the United States. Batting first, they could only muster 174. Skipper Gyanendra Malla scored 55. On the bowling front, Sandeep Lamichhane picked two wickets, and managed to contain the American batters to some extent.
