Australia vs West Indies

Australia moved to the top of the points table with their fourth consecutive victory. This time, they beat West Indies by seven wickets in Basin Reserve. An unbeaten 83 from Rachael Haynes helped them chase 132 in 30.3 overs.

West Indies lost Hayley Matthews and Kycia Knight off consecutive deliveries of the second over of the match, to Ellyse Perry, who also removed Deandra Dottin to reduce West Indies to 34/3.

Shemaine Campbelle and Stafanie Taylor added 36 for the fourth wicket before the former fell for 20. Ash Gardner pinned Taylor leg-before for 50.

In response, Alyssa Healy chipped one back to Matthews in the third over. Shamilia Connell then had Meg Lanning caught by Matthews for a six-ball duck. Despite two early setbacks, 132 was never going to challenge Australia. Haynes struck nine fours to drive her side to a comfortable win.

West Indies 131 in 45.5 overs (Stafanie Taylor 50; Ellyse Perry 3-22) lost to Australia 132/3 in 30.2 overs (Rachael Haynes 83*; Chinelle Henry 1-20) by 7 wickets with 116 balls to spare. Player of the Match: Ellyse Perry.
