After leading India to a dramatic victory over Pakistan in the Super 12 match of the 2017 T20 World Cup, star Indian batsman Virat Kohli quickly climbed back into the top 10 for T20I batters in the most recent ICC rankings, which were revealed on Wednesday.

In the most recent rankings, Kohli moved up five spots to ninth after smashing an unbeaten 82 with six fours and four massive sixes to lead his team to a dramatic last-ball triumph over Pakistan in Melbourne on Sunday.

After putting on a 113-run partnership with Hardik Pandya, the former India captain helped take 48 from the final three overs to win the match. Hardik, who made an impact by scoring 40 runs with the bat and taking three wickets, remained in third place on the list of all-arounders.

After scoring an undefeated 92 against Australia at the T20 World Cup, New Zealand opener Devon Conway has moved up three spots to second position, posing a new threat to Pakistan opener Mohammad Rizwan, who is still ranked first among batters.

Conway and Finn Allen took the defending T20 World Cup champions to the sword in the opening game of the Super 12s on Saturday, tearing apart the Australian attack to all parts of the SCG during their 58-ball innings.

Conway surpasses Indian Suryakumar Yadav (828), Pakistani captain Babar Azam (799), and veteran South African Aiden Markram (762) throughout the innings, putting him within striking distance of Rizwan for the top spot with a career-high rating of 831 rating points.

Allen is also progressing, and his swashbuckling knock against the Australians saw him climb a staggering 17 spots to tie for 13th place overall among batters.

Rashid Khan of Afghanistan has surpassed Josh Hazlewood of Australia to take the top spot among bowlers, on the other hand. In his four-over period, Rashid went for just 17 runs after removing Harry Brook, but he was unable to prevent Afghanistan from losing to England.
