West Indies succumbed to their second successive defeat, after failing to defend a target of 143/8 against South Africa. Barring Evin Lewis, who scored 56 in balls 35, none of the batters stood up to the occasion. Dwaine Pretorius got three wickets and Keshav Maharaj two.
South Africa chased down the target with eight wickets and 10 balls remaining. Aiden Markram top-scored with 51. They are now placed fourth in the points table.

Pakistan defeated New Zealand by five wickets to register their second win. They restricted New Zealand to 134/8 and won in 18.4 overs. Haris Rauf (4-22) was the pick of the Pakistan bowlers, while cameos from Asif Ali and Shoaib Malik propelled them across the target.
Pakistan have now four points from the first two games. They are followed by Afghanistan.
