From Group 1, England and Australia qualified for the semi-finals. England, however, tasted their first defeat of Super 12, when they fell 10 runs short of the target against South Africa. Kagiso Rabada's hat-trick in the last over restricted England to 179/8. 

In the afternoon game, Australia rode on David Warner's 89 not out and Mitchell Marsh's 53 to beat West Indies by eight wickets. They chased down 158 in just 16.2 overs. West Indies finished just above bottom-placed Bangladesh in the points table.

With four wins in as many games, Pakistan are at the top of the points table. They will face Scotland in their last game of the Super 12s. New Zealand will be up against Afghanistan Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
