Joe Root moved up two places to reach the second position among Men’s Test rankings for batters. Root aggregated 386 runs in two Test matches against India, which includes two hundreds (109 and 180*) and a 64. He is now with 893 rating points, eight fewer than top-ranked Kane Williamson.

The Indian trio of Virat Kohli (776), Rohit Sharma (773) and Rishabh Pant (736) have retained their spots, at fifth, sixth, and seventh respectively. Babar Azam (725) jumped two places to eighth after scoring 30 and 55 in the first of the two-match Test series against West Indies.

With nine wickets in two Tests, James Anderson (800) moved to sixth place in the bowlers’ rankings. On the other hand, Jasprit Bumrah (754) slipped one spot to 10th, despite taking 12 wickets so far in the tour.

Jason Holder has broken into the top ten among the bowlers. He is now ranked ninth, following figures of 4-62 in the first Test against Pakistan. Pat Cummins tops the chart, with 908 points, while R. Ashwin (848) remains second, despite not playing in the first two Tests against England.

Among the all-rounders, Holder has retained the top spot, with 414 points. He is followed by Ben Stokes (362), Ravindra Jadeja (359), and Ashwin (345).
