Bangladesh Under-19s v Pakistan Under-19s

Bangladesh 175 in 49.2 overs (Ariful Islam 100; Mehran Mumtaz 3-16) lost to Pakistan 176/4 in 46.3 overs (Haseebullah Khan 79; Rakibul Hasan 2-28) by 6 wickets with 21 balls to spare. Player of the Match: Ariful Islam.

Pakistan beat Bangladesh by six wickets at Coolidge Cricket Ground to take on Sri Lanka in the fifth place Playoff fixture of the Under-19 World Cup 2022. They bowled out Bangladesh for 175 in 49.2 overs and reached the target with 21 balls to spare.

Despite receiving little support, Ariful Islam starred with bat for Bangladesh with a 119-ball 100. Iftakher Hossain‘s 58-ball 25 was the next best score, while the others could not even touch 15. Pakistan then rode on Haseebullah Khan’s 107-ball 79 to see off the target in 47th over.

Zimbabwe Under-19s v West Indies Under-19s

Zimbabwe 256/4 in 50 overs (David Bennett 77*; Johann Layne 2-44) lost to West Indies 262/2 in 49.2 overs (Teddy Bishop 112*; Brian Bennett 1-31) by 8 wickets with 4 balls to spare. Player of the Match: Teddy Bishop.

Hundreds from Teddy Bishop (112*) and Kevin Wickham (104) helped West Indies chase 257 against Zimbabwe at Diego Martin Sporting Complex with four balls to spare. With support from Rivaldo Clarke (28*), they took their side past the line after losing Matthew Nandu in the second over.

Earlier, David Bennett’s unbeaten 105-ball 77, Brian Bennett’s 84-ball 62, and Connor Mitchell’s unbeaten 26-ball 42 took Zimbabwe to 256/4 after they opted to bat. For West Indies, Johann Layne returned 2-44 and Giovonte Depeiza 1-42.

Ireland Under-19s v the UAE Under-19s

Ireland 122 in 45.3 overs (Jack Dickson 40; Jash Giyanani 2-12) lost to the UAE 128/2 in 26 overs (Kai Smith 49; Jamie Forbes 1-32) by 8 wickets with 144 balls to spare. Player of the Match: Dhruv Parashar.

The UAE chased 123 against Ireland with eight wickets and 144 balls to spare in the Plate final of the Under-19 World Cup 2022, thanks to Kai Smith’s 62-ball 49 and Punya Mehra’s unbeaten 57-ball 48.

For Ireland, Jack Dickson top-scored with 40, but no one else crossed 15. Jash Giyanani, Adhitya Shetty and Dhruv Parashar took two wickets each, while Ali Naseer and Aayan Afzal Khan had one apiece.
