Australia continued their winning spree in the ICC Women's World Cup with a five-wicket win over Bangladesh at Basin Reserve in Wellington. They chased down 136 in 32.1 overs in a match that was reduced to 43 overs a side.

Bangladesh did manage to put Australia in a spot of bother after reducing them to 41/4, when Salma Khatun dismissed Alyssa Healy, Meg Lanning, and Rachael Haynes in her opening spell. But Beth Mooney held the fort, scoring 66 not out in 75 balls to drive Australia across the target. Annabel Sutherland remained unbeaten on 26. 

For Bangladesh, Lata Mondal scored 33 and Sharmin Akhter 24, but none of the others went past 15. Ash Gardner and Jess Jonassen claimed two wickets each.
