Pakistan climbed to the second spot in the World Test Championship points table after a 109-run victory over West Indies in the second Test, on Tuesday, 24 August. West Indies could only manage 219 in the pursuit of 328 runs on the final day.

Shaheen Afridi claimed four wickets on Day 5 to finish with match figures of 10-94. Nauman Ali took three wickets, and Jason Holder’s 47 was the highest score of the innings.

The win earned the visitors 12 points. They now have 14 points from two games, same as West Indies.

India is at the top with 14 points, while England is at fourth place. Both sides will be up against each other in the third Test at Headingley, from 25 August. The series currently stands at 1-0 in India’s favour.
