The highly anticipated showdown between India and Pakistan in the upcoming ODI World Cup has been scheduled for October 15 in Ahmedabad, according to the draft schedule of the prestigious tournament.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared the draft schedule with the International Cricket Council (ICC), which then circulated it to the participating countries for feedback. The final schedule is expected to be released early next week after considering the input received.

As per the initial draft schedule prepared by the BCCI, the 2023 ODI World Cup is set to kick off with a match between England and New Zealand on October 5. India's first match of the campaign is scheduled against Australia on October 8 in Chennai.

The draft schedule outlines that India will play their league matches across nine different venues, while Pakistan is slated to compete in five venues during the league phase.

Although the specific details about the semifinal venues are not provided in the draft schedule, it is anticipated that they will be held on November 15 and 16. The grand finale of the tournament is set to take place on November 19 in Ahmedabad, concluding the thrilling ODI World Cup journey.
