It has been twenty-four matches and three and a half years since Australia Women last lost a 50-over international game. On Tuesday, India Women embark upon their tour of Australia with a three-ODI series against the top-ranked women’s team in limited-overs cricket.

Four years ago, when India last defeated an Australian side in an ODI, Harmanpreet Kaur played one of the greatest knocks in cricket history to pull off an improbable in a World Cup semi-final. An injury ruled her out of the first game.

The spirited young Indian side are up against an outfit that can place a claim for the greatest team in the history of cricket. Indian Women, who have never won a Test match against their Australian counterparts, will also play their first day-night Test on the tour.

Ahead of the full tour (three ODIs, one Test and three T20Is), we take a peek at the history and important numbers.
