Indian Premier League 2021: Orange Cap and Purple Cap after MI vs PBKS

Orange Cap

Shikhar Dhawan made 24 off 20 against Kolkata Knight Riders, and has reclaimed the Orange Cap from Sanju Samson. Dhawan has amassed 454 runs in 11 games, while Samson has scored 433 in 10. Punjab Kings captain K.L. Rahul is at No.3, and he has managed 422 runs in ten games. Rahul got out for 21 against Mumbai Indians, a match Punjab lost by three wickets.

Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad occupy the next two spots. Du Plessis is just six runs short of 400.

Purple Cap

Delhi Capitals' Avesh Khan bowled three overs to take 3-14 against Kolkata Knight Riders. He now has 18 wickets, and is at second place, five wickets behind the Purple Cap holder, Harshal Patel of Royal Challengers Bangalore. 

Jasprit Bumrah managed two wickets against Punjab Kings. He has 16 wickets in 11 games, and is third on the list. Mohammed Shami and Chris Morris are tied with 14 wickets each.
